You marked my article for deletion without any real need for doing so. It is so unwelcoming to find watch dogs are waiting to strike me down at the first contact. If you can provide your personal reasons for your actions then I can correct the article to meet wikipedia guidelines or decide not to contribute at all on this free service.
Herman Benjamin - Bollywood Choreographer and Dance Director This is a lesser known but creator of very popular Bollywood song numbers in the 1960's. The article has information on him and his work.
If you have clear reasons to strike down legitimate wikipedia entries, then provide clear reasons and how to correct them.

For Template:Did you know nominations/Kalanchoe blossfeldiana, the reference reads, "This plant is known as the Christmas Kalanchoe because of their showy blooms in winter". I did not see flamboyant and colourful. Maybe adding this and this reference plus what is now in the article might be sufficient for the hook. -- Jreferee ( talk) 18:05, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
Since the last newsletter, the VisualEditor team has worked on some toolbar improvements, fixing bugs, and improving support for Indic languages as well as other languages with complex characters. The current focus is on improving the reference dialog and expanding the new character inserter tool.
There have been dozens of changes since the last newsletter. Here are some of the highlights:
?veaction=edit
to the end of the page name. For example, change
/info/en/?search=Special:Random
to
/info/en/?search=Special:Random?veaction=edit
to open a random page in VisualEditor. This is intended to support bug testing across multiple browsers, without requiring editors to login repeatedly.Looking ahead: The transclusion dialog will see further changes in the coming weeks, with a simple mode for single templates and an advanced mode for more complex transclusions. The new character formatting menu on the toolbar will get an arrow to show that it is a drop-down menu. The reference dialog will be improved, and the Reference item will become a button in the main toolbar, rather than an item in the Insert menu.
If you have questions or suggestions for future improvements, or if you encounter problems, please let everyone know by posting a note at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thank you! Whatamidoing (WMF) ( talk) 20:39, 19 December 2013 (UTC)

Greetings Acather96 I just wanted to let you know that I referenced your RFA in a discussion posting I just started at A perfect example of the RFA problem. I just wanted to let you know that although I opposed your RFA and I used you as an example I have absolutely no grudge with you and I think you appear to be a good editor. I wanted to let you know it wasn't anything personal towards you, just the situation that seems to apply. Hello again! So I'm not that well acquainted with policy regarding copyrights. If you could please help clarify this for me... all images of 3D art cannot be considered free, even public art? I want to add a gallery to the Life Underground article, illustrating more of the installations. I noticed one of the existing images was uploaded as non-free, so I'm guessing adding more images would not acceptable per WP:NFCCP 3A? Note these are permanent installations commissioned by the MTA to be on display for the public. It's unclear why this would be considered copyrighted at all, as opposed to say, a temporary installation at the Guggenheim (paid entry). Thanks! — MusikAnimal talk 18:10, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
Hello Acather96, and welcome to the 2014 WikiCup! Your submission page can be found here. The competition will begin at midnight tonight (UTC). There have been a few small changes from last year; the rules can be read in full at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring, and the page also includes a summary of changes. One important rule to remember is that only content on which you have completed significant work, and nominated, in 2014 is eligible for points in the competition- the judges will be checking! As ever, this year's competition includes some younger editors. If you are a younger editor, you are certainly welcome, but we have written an advice page at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Advice for younger editors for you. Please do take a look. Any questions should be directed to one of the judges, or left on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup. Signups will close at the end of January, and the first round will end on 26 February; the 64 highest scorers at that time will make it to round 2. Good luck! Hi, you recently blocked an editor (indef), and following that, another editor then created a user page for the blocked editor, solely for the purpose of adding the {{blocked user)} template, along with the somewhat smug edit summary "good bye". The template's guidelines state that that should be done by the blocking admin. I'm wondering if you have an opinion on this. Thanks - theWOLFchild 13:16, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi Acather! Thanks for pointing out the confusion with the hook. It was getting rather wordy (at 199 characters) and I was basically combining two facts (their location and their different breeding times) into one, making the hook borderline WP:OR.
