Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Brainiac (comics), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 ( talk) 08:06, 16 May 2017 (UTC) reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Hi @ Jim1138:. Please can you put the edit back onto the Brainiac page as the source was very clearly cited at the end of the sentence with the number [1]. Please do not remove this again. Thanks! 85.118.8.158 ( talk) 09:59, 24 May 2017 (UTC) reply

Read the source again. Jim1138 ( talk) 17:18, 24 May 2017 (UTC) reply

Hi @ Jim1138: - As per the source: "In any case, the DC folks apparently derived “Brainiac” by blending “brain” with “maniac,” and only later, as noted above, was Brainiac depicted as being computer-like." As you can see, the change that was made was completely correct (and the current statement is wrong). If you can't put it back to the correct edit, I am happy to. Thanks!
