Dear Pundit I have noticed you have made several undo revisions to the Krav Maga page of Wikipedia. I wish to take point on a single statement you made. In one of your last revisions your reason for doing so was that the associations listed were not credible (or something to that affect). I don't mean to misquote you, I just cannot recall exactly what you said. At any rate, have you done any research into Itay Gil and Moshe Katz at all? Itay is THE most sought after KM trainer in Israel for his tactics. He is currently the chief instructor for Israel's Sayeret Duvdevan and Law Enforcement all around the globe seek him out! Moshe is his highest ranked student who teaches at Universities all over the US. I would hardly call being invited to teach KM at MIT & Harvard an insignificant contribution to Krav Maga.... Anyway, I do understand your point of concern, however, I think if you do the research you will see Israeli Krav International, while small is extremely influential in the world of Krav Maga. -- 63.226.23.69 ( talk) 22:19, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for replying. It's interesting that you would mention martial arts training at Harvard, hmmm. Moshe was indeed invited; by the Hillel. I have researched this and not many instructors have been invited. Perhaps they are not as well known....? I do realize this not an official invitation by the University itself and really did not intend to imply such, I should have chosen my words more carefully. It is well known that Itay is the most recognize tactics instructor in Israel. Go there and ask anyone in any Krav Maga school and they will recognize his name. Again, perhaps I should've used different words. I know many Israeli Kravists who did not know who Haim Gidon was when I asked and his is the site to which the page refers for certifications. This is a major injustice to those who use this site for accurate reference. I don't mean to sound trite concerning all of this, but it is obvious someone/people from (a) specific organization(s) is manipulating the available information. Please, before dismissing my reply, do some research by contacting people from various Israeli organizations to see if Itay and Moshe are legitimate. Also, how can one say an organization is not legit based solely on page hits? When Krav Maga first came to the US it's internet presence was dismal at best. Only because of their continued efforts in developing their marketing have they become as renowned as they are. Please do not take my comments personally, I just believe there is bias here which needs to be addressed. --

First, comments belong on talk pages, not on user pages.
Anyway, you havent shown a single reliable source that Itay Gil has anything to do with any part of the IDF, let alone instruction of commando units. That is why I keep reverting it. Show me something from someone not affiliated with Gil. isayeret.com for example has no mention of him for the duvdavan.

First of all, I apologize for still being a bit ignorant as to how things work here. At least I can honestly say that, I have reviewed your history and it seems you like to be a rule breaker....intentional 3RR, 5RR and more? I am learning though and will attempt to follow the rules as best I can as I learn. Please accept my apology. -- 63.226.23.69 ( talk) 20:33, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
RE: Krav Maga - Do you suppose it is possible the items which may include Mr. Gil's participation in training various units are copyrighted? Look at Paladin Press's page for his book "THE CITIZEN'S GUIDE TO STOPPING SUICIDE ATTACKERS" found at Itay's Book; which should prove validity, but cannot be included on this site. I think it is likely you are biased and unwilling to allow someone of greater notoriety, than whomever your bias is in favor of, to be brought forward. IMHO - but I hope I am wrong, be well. -- 63.226.23.69 ( talk) 20:33, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
RogueNina -
First of all - I was polite and apologized for the edits to your User Page - not sure now the apology was warranted or deserved. Anyway, I am not a student of Itay. Itay does not publicly claim any of the things mentioned. He is not like the other so-called leaders of KM, he is not looking for fame. However, this does not preclude the fact he deserves recognition. Have you ever even been to Israel? If not, what makes you qualified to speak on such things? Are you a student of Krav Maga? If so my next questions are already answered in the politics of your methods. Why is it you resist this - what is your true motive? I really want to just know the truth. So man up and just tell everyone what your real objection is and stop hiding behind the P and P's here in wiki-land. For the record, I choose not to register for simple reasons, to include but not limited to: People here get into such ego battles regarding Krav Maga. The spirit of it all is very disappointing. Then there are those who have little to no understanding of what is actually going on in Israel, in relation to Krav Maga and it's unsung heroes, which give recognition only those who have public acclaim. If someone such as myself comes along and bucks the status quo, their information is "unverifiable" which makes it incredible. To some degree I understand this, but have any of you self proclaimed masters of this domain (registered users) bothered to do one bit of inquiry by contacting ACTUAL Krav Maga sources in Israel to see if any of what I say is true? I really doubt it. You prefer to use what you choose to believe to be credible sources which mostly are inundated with fallacies which can be verified using other sources. All I ask is for fairness, if you are going to name units - give credit where it is due and do the research first. Not by reading websites, but by contacting people in the know. There is a current thread on KMWW's forum site right now from a group in Bristol, England who have gotten answers from persons inside the YAMAM, Sayeret Units and IDF basic training Krav Maga instructors. Maybe start by emailing them to seek information on how to reach their contacts. THEN we can talk intelligently. -- 63.226.23.69 ( talk) 20:33, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to
talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should
sign your posts by typing four
tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button
located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --

Hi, thanks for your question. The Vogue article is included because it's an article in a well-recognized magazine that adds a helpful video which is not a copyvio. The page www.protect-usa.com appears to be a commercial link for a private security firm, which is seen as an ad for the business in question (see WP:ELNO). The other link might be eligible for inclusion, but this article has a long history (see talk page) of editors objecting to the listing of individual organisations as overly promotional and/or political. If you list one organisation, editors inevitably add others (see WP:DUE and WP:EL). I know Wikipedia can be confusing with its myriad of guidelines, but hopefully this has helped.
