Welcome to my
user page. I'm glad you've stopped by. I would call myself a binge contributor to
Wikipedia. Sometimes, I go several months without making a single edit, and sometimes within a span of several months, there isn't a single day that passes when I don't make lots of edits. Recently, I've been binging on creating and
editingteam tennisarticles. I still have lots of work to do on them. Since I've been writing so much about
tennis, I joined the
Tennis WikiProject.
I find that
userboxes can be an incredibly efficient means of
communication among
Wikipedians. If users were diligent about putting them on their user pages, we could all know much more about one another. The userboxes I have displayed here tell much of the story about me. If you see something among my userboxes that inspires you to discuss a topic with me, please feel free to post on my talk page.
Despite the way some people deride Wikipedia as being unreliable, I truly believe that what is being done here is of great benefit to humanity. We have all found errors in articles. But the wealth of information here is astounding, and it is fairly easy to identify an article that has been thoroughly researched and reliable. Those that do no fall into that category must be read with skepticism. Maybe they can even be edited.
Aside from the information here, the interaction with other users is usually a pleasant experience. Wikipedians, as a group, have a sincere interest in helping other users all for the ultimate benefit of improving the quality and volume of content within the project known as Wikipedia—a project that will never be completed. In short, Wikipedia is a nice place to hang out.
Articles and entries I've created
Although I've edited articles for several years, I only created two before 2014. They were both about
bluescompilation albums that I own. My articles have since been merged by another
editor into one article, and my original articles were deleted. This Wikipedian did a fantastic job in syncretizing my two articles and appending information about other compilation albums to produce one comprehensive article about an entire series of blues compilation albums. The merged article is
Blues Anytime and includes information taken from the articles I wrote. Below are the articles I've created which are still available on Wikipedia.
