Hello - I am a long-time Wikipedia consumer who is now excited to try and contribute more. I was raised in the United States. I have a BA degree in English and also Japanese. I am fully bilingual in Japanese and have used it professionally for over 10 years, including translating and interpreting.

Current interests

I am a member of the Guild of Copy Editors. I legitimately enjoy the tedious task of proofreading and always have.

Next I am hoping to research and expand the article for my favorite Japanese painter, Soga Shōhaku.

I am also hoping to contribute to improving more English-language pages with translated content from their more robust Japanese versions.

I love literature - current favorite authors are Dostoyevsky and Yasunari Kawabata. I am also a huge geography and map geek.
