About My Vocation

I am a nightclub disc jockey, sound engineer, and music producer. I specialize in industrial and EBM, although I enjoy mixing (and remixing) many different genres spanning hard techno to disco house.

I have been personally involved in the Webcasting community for almost 10 years. My fascination with online radio was first sparked by the Spinner Plus music player in 1997. Soon thereafter, following the launch of Live365, I became intrigued with DJing. So, I took the plunge and began streaming live mix shows online. Suffice it to say, I was immediately hooked and have been spinning music professionally ever since.

Nowadays, my involvement in Internet radio is far less on the creative side and focused more on the various legal aspects of streaming media. Copyright law reform has always been a topic of deep personal concern to me -- even moreso today with the emergence of new digital consumer technologies. For the most part, and by no surprise, my career entails administering public performance licensing for small Webcasters and advocating for small Webcasters through political action campaigns.

I possess 12-years of professional experience as a Web developer, graphic designer (both print and online publications), and systems administrator. My programming background spans C/C++, Perl, JScript (Internet Explorer, Windows Script Host, Windows Script Components, HTML Components), ActionScript (Flash MX), OpenScript (Toolbook II), and assembly language and includes development and maintenance of courseware (CBT), e-commerce, and computer-gaming platforms.
