So long as ignorance is given the same stature as scholarly research, Wikipedia stands no chance of ever being considered as a serious source of encyclopedic information. Two scholars can engage in a legitimate discourse; a scholar and an imbecile cannot. If and when "I don't get it" no longer carries viable weight as a logical argument regardng article content, well, we'll see. Mdhennessey - I've taken the liberty of adding a "GFDL" license to this image that you've identified as being self-created, in the belief that this was your intent in uploading the image. Wikipedia is an unprecedented combination of anarchy and bureaucracy. Sometimes it seems mostly chaotic, at other times too concerned with minor rules. Like a man with one foot in a pail of boiling water and the other in a block of ice, the individual cases are hard to accept even while the average is fine.
