Principia Rerum Naturalum ("Principles of Natural Things") is a work by Emanuel Swedenborg which explains his ideas about nature. In this work, he argues that all matter is made of infinitely divisible particles that are constantly in swirling motion. [1] [2] This is the work in which he posits his nebular hypothesis, which describes the formation of the Solar System and is integral to modern astronomy.

Principia is the first part of Swedenborg's three-part Opera Philosophica et Mineralia ("Philosophical and Logical Works"), which he published in 1734.
