social networking has, in JustDerek's opinion, led to an increasing number of people creating articles on themselves or their own projects or causes — presumably viewing Wikipedia as simply another web megaphone with which they may promote themselves, as they do on

Twitter. This trend has led JustDerek to keep handy for cutting-and-pasting purposes a few polite, pre-written discussion page messages about the

What Wikipedia is Not policies.
