- You've added enough to show it's a good high school==and there are many other good high schools. But there has to be something to show that it's distinctive. Suggestions: 1/notable alumni if the school has been established long enough-. 2/notable people who may have spoken there 3/something the school did that got recognition outside your own town.
- And there must be a 3rd party source, preferably two--print or web. --even a local newspaper. Do not just rely on the web--the town library will have files of the newspaper, in some format or other, and also clippings files for local events. First try its web site, and then go there and ask for help, saying why you want it--all librarians know about WP.
(and check again for usage, change that "plenty" to something more serious-looking--and the "mission" section is full of advertising-type writing--try to say it more naturally.) DGG 22:19, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Hermitage High School
Hi,
Thanks for your note on my talk page asking me to review my opinion in the AfD debate on the above article. Unfortunately I wasn't online over the weekend, so didn't get a chance to do this until today, and I see that the debate has already been closed as "no consensus" ( defaulting to "keep" the article ). As it happens, I would not have changed my opinion, because I don't see adequate supporting references/sources in the article. I believe you're a student at the school, and I think you're right to want to make the article as good as possible. What I think it still needs are two or three independent references to support and verify the idea that the school is notable. The article says that the school is notable because it is a Blue Ribbon School: what we need is a couple of links to independent sources confirming this. It's not enough just to have links to the school's official website and sports website, as these are not independent. A couple of other people have also pointed out that we need to see independent references, so I'd like to join them in encouraging you to find these and add them to the article. If you can do that the article will be much improved, and also safe from any potential future call for its deletion.
I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if I can do anything to help you: my principal area of expertise is AfD debates, but I also help out the project in other areas.
