The Crocketteers are an independent soccer supporters group based in San Antonio, Texas. The group was founded in March of 2009 by Michael Macias.

The Crocketteers have built their brand to honor the heroes of the Battle of the Alamo. Their motto is simply "Victory or Death" as written by William B. Travis during their 13 days of glory defending San Antonio's most important landmark, The Alamo.

By uniting soccer fans under one banner, the Crocketteers see an opportunity to put San Antonio on the radar of professional soccer leagues/ownership groups looking for the next great city to expand the beautiful game to.

The idea behind the group is to grow a strong membership base in the name of San Antonio professional soccer. As membership numbers rise, the city of San Antonio will rise above the rest in contention for a soccer franchise.

In March of 2009, Michael Macias founded the Crocketteers after sitting on the idea for a few months after discussing with friends ways of building support for a professional soccer franchise in the Alamo City.

In their 12th of existence, the Crocketteers had 70 unpaid members under their banner.

During the 2010 World Cup, the Crocketteers numbers began to increase at fast pace. The Crocketteers ran a successful series of US Men's National Team World Cup Watch Parties at Alamo DraftHo

Membership

The Crocketteers offer both free basic membership and paid membership. Paid membership offers extra perks and access within the Crocketteers organization. Currently, the initial paid membership base is part of a subgroup known as the Travis 250 and is limited to the first 250 paid members of the Crocketteers.

The Travis 250 are considered the charter members of the Crocketteers, representing the nearly 250 people who died during the “thirteen days of glory” back in 1836 at the Battle of the Alamo. Travis 250 members received a "Victory or Death" scarf and Travis 250 uniquely numbered membership card designating which number of the 250 that member represented. Travis 250 members, like future paid members, will have greater access to intra-organization deals, perks, and organized road trips.

There are currently less than 40 Travis 250 Memberships left for the taking. Once the Travis 250 Membership group is finalized, a standard paid membership program will take its place.
