Baqubah, Iraq 2003-2004

The first deployment was during the early phases of military action in Iraq. The first deployment commenced on February 10, 2003 and concluded on June 14, 2004. During this time the unit was located in Baqubah, Iraq which is located in Diyala Province. The unit was task organized under the 588th Engineer Battalion assigned to 2nd Brigade 4th Infantry Division. The unit was awarded the Valorous Unit Award on December 29th, 2009 under General Order 2009-08 for it's actions during the period of this deployment.
