Saner Ayar (d. 5 April 1971, Trabzon).

Saner Ayar is one of the most senior media executives in Turkey and in the MENA Region. He is a serial entrepreneur who started his career in his early twenties. Saner established more than 30 radio stations in early 90s and then switch to television. Saner Ayar led Show TV and drove it to the most successful television channel in Turkey. After successfully establishing CNBC and NatGeo television channels in Turkey, he became the General Manager of Show TV. For Show TV, he commissioned ground-breaking shows including The Valley of Wolves (Kurtlar Vadisi), Ezel, Deal or No Deal? (Var mısın? Yok musun?) and Magnificent Century (Muhteşem Yüzyil). In mid-2010s he focused on production and together with MBC Group founded O3 Media. In a period of eight years, he produced eight movies and 26 shows. The total number of hours of content produced by Saner Ayar during this period exceeded 1,200 hours. O3 Medya, under Saner Ayar’s leadership, produced both Netflix’s and Disney+’s launch productions in Turkey. As a producer, Saner is uniquely positioned as he can produced high quality sensitive content in commercially successful manner.

He graduated from Istanbul University , Faculty of Economics.

He founded Turkey's first private radio with Turkuaz Holding (1991)

He founded and managed Kanal E, TV8, CNBC-E TV channels.

He worked as a senior manager in CNBC-e, Show TV, Fox International Channels Türkiye, Kanal E, TV8, NTV and MSNBC Television channels.

Managed all marketing and sales activities of the Media Group, and Magazine Division of the Group (including F1 Racing and NatGeo Magazine).


In 2015, a closed-circuit television channel was established for the Istanbul Municipality transportation system under the name of Modyo TV. In 2020, it added the structure within TCDD with Waga TV. Modyo and Waga today have annual revenues of more than $10 million and 5 million unique daily viewers.

After being the manager of Trabzonspor Club for a while, Saner Ayar; bought the basketball team in the Second League, the team went to the Turkish Basketball League under his management. After the team entered the Beko Basketball League, they won the general assembly held in July 2010; He served as president twice in a row. He managed to become the champion in the league and promoted to the Premier League. Then he donated the team to Trabzonspor for free. He is the first owner and first president of Trabzonspor B.K. Trabzonspor Basketball Club.
