My primary objective of providing information in this page is to give a brief background of my experience / knowledge of places or subjects so that when people visit this page to respond to my edits or contributions, they may know my credibility on the subject under discussion. Current Interests

I currently live in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. My mother tongue is Tamil. I was born in 1948. I am a semi retired person with a long career with the Indian electronics, and computer industry. My interests are Quality systems, Six sigma, Quality gurus, Japanese management systems, Goal setting, and translation of English articles to Tamil. This is what I intend to focus on in my contributions.

Hosur

The first article on which I posted in the discussion pages, was related to Hosur. I lived in Hosur for many years in my childhood before the place got industrialized. I studied in Hosur from 1956-1963. That is the basis for my comments.

Appeal for Help

In my role for Wikimedia Chapter, I often have the need to identify a volunteer in some part of the country.The chapter membership is a small proportion of the Indian editors community. Even the India mail list does not cover the community of editors adequately. So when in need, I resort to searching for editors who have apparently been the major contributors or recent contributors of articles bearing the name of the geography (city, town or state) of my interest. Then I post a request in the talk pages of the user / editor. Often people migrate, or write about places they have been to for a short time. On rare occasions, I have been lucky to find some one who is still there and willing to help!
