Pandanus antaresensis is... a rainforest tree in the Pandan or Screwpine family (Pandanaceae). It is native to the Star Mountains of Irian Jaya This species is up to 75 feet (23 meters) in height, second only to Pandanus julianettii It is supported by several prop roots which emerge from the trunk at their mature diameter, and can be as much as 29 feet (nine meters) in diameter,again surpassed only by P. julianettii. [1] Its fruit is a type of multiple fruit termed a syncardium.
