Wear It Purple Days are charity events, fundraising is conducted in relation to participants wearing purple.

  • The Wear it Purple Day, held in Scotland during Erskine Week in 2009, to fundraise for veterans' hospital  Erskine. [2]
  • The Wear it Purple Day, held as part of Love You 2 Appeal (in  Yorkshire) in 2013. Nurseries hosted a Wear it Purple Day to raise building funds for Dove House Hospice. [3] In previous years this has been known as "Purple Day". [4]
  • The Wear it Purple Day, held as part of Crocus Week (in  Bradford) in 2014. Events were hosted by staff at the University of Bradford, Bilton Medical Centre, and at local schools. [5] The Telegraph & Argus Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal focused on fundraising for purchasing machinery and developing new treatments for cancer. [6] [7]
  • The Wear it Purple Day, held by  Glan Y Mor schoo (in  Burry Port) in 2014, which showed their support for student Josh Anderson by raising £960 for charity  Kidney Research UK. [8]
  • The Wear it Purple Day, held by Creetown Primary School (in  Wigtownshire) in 2015, which fundraised towards cancer awareness. [9]
  • The Wear it Purple Day, held by Areley House Care Home (in  Stourport-on-Severn) in 2016, which focused on raising awareness of dementia. [10]
  • The  Wear Purple for JIA Day, organised by Lynette Haselip of  Corby in 2015 and again on 6 May 2016, [11] to raise awareness of  Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.
  • The Wear it Purple Day, held by Mica Sanders in April 2016, to support Tish Edwards by raising awareness in the Asian community of stem cell donation and fundraising for the  Lymphoma Association. [12]
  • The non-uniform Wear it Purple Day, held by Carrick Academy's student council circa November 2016, raised funds for Ayrshire Hospice. [13]

Commercial days

  • The Purple Day, held by Capistrano Volkswagen in San Juan Capistrano, California. Staff wear purple as a promotional activity. [14]
