The International SEPT Program, best known as SEPT, was founded in 1997, is a research and training program at the University of Leipzig dedicated to providing theoretical insight as well as practical experience in the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises in developing and transition countries.

History

SEPT [1] was launched in 1997 at the University of Leipzig with a strong support from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) as well as other private and public partners. <gallery>.SEPT started its services in Hanoi, Vietnam with the collaboration of Hanoi University of Technology in 2006.

SEPT programme is run under Faculties of African studies and Economics of University of Leipzig.The program is also supported by a number of private organization. Innoways is an offshoot organization of the program which offers consultancy to SMEs in Saxony, GermanyThe institute offers an MBA in SME promotion in Leipzig and Hanoi as well as a d Ph.D. in SME promotion and development, with specialization in marketing, Innovation management and human resource management.
