Smallville (TV series)

Smallville is a TV series originally running on The WB and currently running on The CW and starring Tom Welling as Clark Kent (Smallville) who later becomes famous as Superman. The other main characters of Smallville (season 8) are Erica Durance as Lois Lane (Smallville), Clark's occasional love interest, Chloe Sullivan Clark's best friend, portrayed by Allison Mack, Oliver Queen alias Green Arrow, Sam Witwer as Davis Bloome / Doomsday and Aaron Ashmore as Jimmy Olsen (Smallville). Smallville started on October 16, 2001 and is running until present.

In the devastated wedding hall Clark Kent (Smallville) explains to Lana Lang (Smallville) that a creature from Krypton, called the Ultimate Destroyer took Chloe Sullivan away. Clark is worried and admits that it should have come to him and not to her. Lois replies that now Chloe needs the two of them.

In the next scene the Ultimate Destroyer attacks Clark and slashes his stomach causing a severe injury. In the same moment three figures appear in the room and together manage to get rid of the Destroyer. The newcomers introduce themselves as the “Legion”, there are three of them and they greet Clark as Kal-El and affirm that it is an honor and a privilege to meet him. The "Legion" members Rokk Krinn, Imra Ardeen and Garth Ranzz explain that they arrived from the 21st century and that Clark is very famous in future. They help Clark to cure his wound. Imra assures him of their friendship. He tells him that his best friend Chloe is missing and that he urgently needs to find her. Rokk explains that the creature that attacked him is called the Persuader and belongs to the Human Supremacy Movement. Rokk discovers the Phantom Zone an amulet that is used to hold Brainiac in captivity. Nevertheless Rokk is not convinced that Brainiac is completely destroyed and Clark believes that the Persuader is connected to Brainiac.

Meanwhile in the Fortress of Solitude Chloe declares that Chloe isn't there anymore and that she is now Brainiac's creature. She announces to take over control and predicts that there won't be any doubt, but absolute rage and unparalleled power. Chloe's encounter with Davis makes her confess that he is Doomsday (comics) and it is his assignment to get rid of the other Kryptonian. In order to accomplish his transformation Chloe freezes him, imprisoned in a crystalline cubicle.

The Legion identifies Chloe as Brainiac's new host and in order to destroy Brainiac they suggest to kill her. They ask Clark where Chloe might be, but he is reluctant to tell them because he doesn't want to see her dead. He leaves for the North pole, but the Legion catches up with him and offers their help, but Clarks wants to pursue his quest on his own. They are left behind and Imra visits Lana in order to ask her for help to convince Clark to kill Brainaic's host.

When Clark arrives in the Fortress of Solitude, he learns from Chloe that his father is gone and that all the knowledge of the Fortress of Solitude now is in the possession of Brainiac because knowledge is what is feeding him. Once Brainiac has absorbed all knowledge on Earth he plans to destroy the planet. Brainiac finally leaves the Fortress and leaves a frozen Davis behind.

The Legion comes to the decision to trace down and kill Chloe on their own, because Brainiac took over Chloe and the only way to stop him is to kill his host. Clark meets Lana and is anxious that he won't be able to protect her life to the disadvantage of so many people on Earth. Lana replies that the Clark that she knows would not surrender and insist on saving both Chloe's life and the rest of the world.

Chloe is sucking all information through the computer network and ravaging in the building of the Daily Planet, when the Legion members appears determined to kill her. The succeed in making her unconscious and Brainiac is not online anymore, but only temporarily. Clark appears and request the Legion members to save Chloe's life. Irma's telepathic powers reveal to her that Chloe's mind is still present. Finally they agree on uniting their powers to save her. Finally they manage to extract Brainiac's essence from Chloe's body, in the form of a black, crystralline liquid, alike a black ball. They want to bring the metallic ball to the future in order to turn him into something positive. Chloe awakes back to life. When it is time for the Legion return to their century Rokk endows Clark with the Legion-ring and invites him to visit their century. Imra reassures Lana that the secret reason for Lana's return remains safe with her. In the final scene Davis breaks out of his chrysalis now transformed into the Doomsday (comics) in the Fortress of Solitude.

12-Bulletproof

Detective John Jones is pursuing a suspect, when he finally succeeds in capturing him and is returning to his car now alone, he is shot in the back. You can see that the shot wears a Metropolis Police badge. In the next scene Lana Lang (Smallville) meets Clark Kent (Smallville) who is visiting Chloe Sullivan in the hospital, she wants to hear news about her. Clark replies that he knows from a nightwatchman that two other men were killed at the ceremony. Then both see how the injured detective is delivered to the hospital and learn that he is still alive. Oliver Queen comes to see Clark in the hospital during the operation on Jones and is curios to learn why Clark is waiting for him. Clark replies because John Jones sacrificed his abilities in order to save Clark.

In the next scene we see Lana Lang (Smallville) and Tess talk about victory and that true victory means victory over oneself. Lana accuses Tess to invest too much of LuthorCorp's money in a project called “Promedias” and doubts whether Lex Luthor would have left his legacy, that is the control over his corporation, to her if he knew about it. Furthermore she suggests that Lex is still alive and that Tess knows where he is. Lana is obviously recording her conversation with Tess without her knowing.

Clark plans an investigation about the crime on John Jones and Chloe Sullivan helps him searching the profiles of policemen that where gathered in the past. They learn that an evidence is missing and Clark confirms to Chloe that he returned that bullet to the police. Clark reveals his suspicion that the attack on Jon Johns could have been an “inside job”, committed by policemen and that somebody in higher ranks should know more about it. Chloe wants to help him to make up a false identity as a policemen because she doubts that they would trust a reporter. They also talk about Lana's unexpected return and Chloe mentions that “things get messy when someone tries to throw around the Lana-Clark-triangle” and that she knows from experience that a third point always hurts". Clark replies that he is not hurting anyone and Chloe asks : “How about Lois?”. Clark returns her look in astonishment and she replies, that's obvious. He answers, that he can't just stop loving someone. Chloe discloses her understanding for his need for closure and wants him to promise that he won't slam her cousin in the door.

In the next scene Clark is driving on patrol with his new partner, policeman Danny. He starts to make inquiries about Johns' injury, but Danny doesn't seem to be surprised. Then we learn that Danny is looking for a suspect and later we learn that this is the one whom he suspects to have killed his former partner. Then they are called to a pharmacy that has been robbed and try to catch the fleeing criminal. The criminal tries to shoot Danny but Clark catches the bullet. Clark is invited to a barbecue with Danny's family and his colleagues and learns from Denny's wife that his long-year partner Mike has been shot, although he always considered himself bulletproof. He also makes inquiries about Jon Johns and observes that the policemen don't think a great deal of him because he is sticking out.

When Lana tries to transfer the recorded data she realizes that she is receiving data from an unknown wifi device. After a while Tess appears and threatens Lana with a weapon. Tess wants her to stop asking about “Promedias” because it is the only chance to cure Lex Luthor. They start fighting and Lana ends up facing Tess and holding her at the gunpoint. She shows her that Lex Luthor was monitoring all her doings through a Nano device that was installed in one of her eyes.

In the next scene Clark is watching Danny beating up the criminal whom he suspects to be his former partner's murder. Then Green Arrow appears and puts Danny and his friends into flight.

Oliver Queen visits Clark on the Kent Farm and and shows him photographs of the criminal that John Jones was chasing before he was shot. The criminal was drowned in the cold sea and Oliver tells Clark about his suspicion that Danny and his men are taking the law in their own hands.

Danny supposes Clark to be not the person he pretends to be. Danny and his men try to lure Clark into a trap and hide the rifle that resembles the one that was used to commit the assault on Jon Johns in the back of a car where Clark detects it at once with his supernatural powers. In the next moment policemen appear and arrest him.

When Clark is driven away, Danny's men attack the pharmacy predator during another one of them is aiming at him with another rifle. Green Arrow appears and tries to put Danny's squad in the flight one more time, but the shot attacks him. In the meantime Clark escapes the policemen and prevents the shot from hurting Green Arrow.

When John Jones recovers from his injuries Clark is waiting in the hospital.

Tess is facing a mirror and talks to Lex Luthor assuming he can see and hear her. She is saying goodbye to him, she says that she respected and loved him and them pushes the button that is connecting her to him. The monitor before Lex becomes indistinct. The newspaper on her table announces his death. In the meanwhile Tess invites Oliver Queen to a dinner to talk over a merger.

Clark can't sleep and wonders who is the person in his life who is worth this strain. He meets Lana in the Coffee Shop and asks her why she is staying. Lana replies that she doesn't know how long she wants to stay. He says that it doesn't matter how long she is staying, one more day or for ten years, the important thing is that she is here today. Lana says that the world needs him and he asks back what the two of them need and finally they kiss each other.
