Okahandja Cultural Village

Okahandja cultural villageis a small village in Otjozondjupa region central Namibia. It situated on a beautiful northern district of Okahandja town. It locate about 10km from Okahandja on the Okahandja-otjiwalongo highway north of Windhoek(corner of B1 road). It is run by Bertha Mbundu.The village consists of homesteads from seven of Namibia's cultural group-the San, Tswana, Caprivians, Damara, Herero and Owambo. [1].

  • and to preserve Namibia's rich cultural heritage

The Okahandja cultural village is the only one-stop cultural centre in Namibia. It provides the diversity of Namibian cultural way of life.The village can produce traditional product like omahangu, sorghum, beans, ground beans, and fresh vegetables are grown at the village and could be processed into various beverages and meals.
