Collections
I enjoy
collecting lots of different things, and I have a number of collections, including:
-
Notaphily (
Paper money) — My collection includes
banknotes from every
continent,
US dollar bills, and a
Confederate banknote.
-
Coin collecting (
Coins) — My collection includes a
Nazi Germany coin, as well as
coins from various countries.
-
Sports cards — My collection includes every team in the
NFL and
NBA, as well as some
NCAA football,
NHL, and
MLB cards, especially of
Colorado-based teams.
-
Stamps — My collection is almost entirely made up of
United States
Forever stamps as I have mostly just casually collected
stamps from mail I've recieved.
-
License plates — I have a small collection of
American
license plates from
states such as
Colorado,
Montana, and
Oregon, among others.

Biography
I was born in
Butte, Montana, but my family moved to
Colorado when I was seven. We lived in
Evergreen, Colorado for four years before moving to
Denver. I grew up in
downtown
Denver, attending
middle school at
DCIS Baker, and
high school at both
DCIS Baker and
Denver West. I was a double
varsity athlete in
football &
track and field. I graduated in May 2020 in the middle of the
COVID-19 pandemic, and began attending
Colorado State University in fall 2020. I was originally a
business major before I quickly realized it wasn't for me, and changed my major to
journalism and communications with a
sports management minor in order to focus on
sports journalism,
broadcasting and
reporting.
I'm using Wikipedia as mostly a hobby as I find it enjoyable to write about sports. It's also good practice for writing with factual accuracy. I hope that this user page may possibly be part of a
resume upon my graduation from
Colorado State University in 2024.
My username,
Porter
land, is based on my last name,
Porter.
