Early life

Musa Samad oghlu Suleymanov ( Azerbaijani: Musa Səməd oğlu Süleymanov) was born in Abulbayli village of Tovuz region, on September 14, 1956. He graduated from the secondary school named after Yusif Sadigov in 1973. In 1975-1977, he served in the military among the armed forces of the former USSR.

In 1977-80, he worked as a laborer and driver in the wine factory and communication station of Alimardanli village of Tovuz region. He was engaged in the conduct of private business since 1980s and entrepreneurial activity since 1991. He founded and served as a president of “SIMURG-M” company from 1991 to 1998.

In 1996, he founded the regional “Simurg-M” TV-Radio Company providing the coverage to the western zone of Azerbaijan, including Ganja-Gazakh region. He became the founder of “ADO-G Construction, Industry, and Tourism” Azerbaijan-Turkey Joint Venture since 1998 and served as president of this company.

He has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Subsidiary Open Joint Stock Company, “Machine Building Plant named after B. Sardarov” since 2004. He is a graduate lawyer. In addition, he graduated from the technical program on “Media Event” in the United States of America in line with the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

Political career

Musa Suleymanov was independent candidate to the National Assembly of Azerbaijan in the 2005

In 2014, he was awarded with “Tereggi” order (“Progress” order) in accordance with the decree of Ilham Aliyev the President of Azerbaijan Republic for his contribution to the development of the machine-building industry in Azerbaijan.

In 2017, for his merits in the development of the machine-building industry in Azerbaijan, he was granted the honorary title "Honored Engineer" by respective decree of President Ilham Aliyev.

Personal life

Suleymanov is fluent in English and Russian. He is married and has three children.
