Colvin "Max" Mayers [a] (2 May 1961 – 26 December 1993) was an English musician who was the keyboardist for Cardiacs and the Sound. Mayers died of AIDS in the early 90s.
On the Sound's second album, From the Lions Mouth (1981), Belinda Marshall was replaced by Mayers. [1] After the Sound split up, Bailey, Dudley, and Mayers left music for the most part. [2]
