I am a believer of people sticking to Wikipedia guidelines and the philosophy that anyone from any location can contribute. Just as I can contribute to overseas articles, I welcome overseas editors to take a scan over Australian articles. This way we can build the strength of articles.
One thing I don't like is when editors display
WP:OWN. No one owns articles on Wikipedia and no one can dissuade other legitimate editors from contributing with weak reasons like "you don't live there, therefore you can't edit". There is no hierarchy for more "experienced" or "qualified" editors. Also
single purpose accounts and anonymous IPs seem to be strongly linked to
WP:OWN and
POV pushing.
Also, Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia not a place for
original research or blatant advertising or self promotion. I think one of best pieces of original research I've seen is "well I spoke to blah blah and they said X" or "Person A definitely lives in that suburb because their surname and first initial is listed in the
white pages."
If you've come here in response to a deletion discussion, remember all articles must meet the
general notability guideline and if you want to keep a bare article you better back a case with
reliable sources.

For improving
2008 jail break in Clovis, New Mexico even though you had debated for deleting it, I award you this Editor's Barnstar. Not many people can put aside their pride and remember why we're editing here in the first place. Cheers,
