Following the
recentrevelations on The Register, and doing some checking myself on Wikipedia itself to see (as far as I am able) what went down, I have decided to take a break from Wikipedia editing, perhaps indefinitely.
I am sufficiently convinced that there is an elitist cabal, with the support of the highest-level members of the Wikimedia Foundation, at large on Wikipedia, with an inherent bias toward certain opinions and ideas. As this is, IMO, against the spirit of the Wikipedia I joined those years ago, I cannot continue to support it with my edits and translations.
Regrettably, some translations I had been working on will be abandoned because of this. At least one,
Luis Miquilena, I abandoned before this because, at the time, the source material given to me to translate was of poor quality, and I could not comprehend it. I ask others to pick up where I left off.
I may return someday, if this place cleans up its act.
