Mr. Jean-Henry Céant, father of four and Notary in Port-au-Prince, Haiti obtained his law degree from the State University School of Law in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and the University Pontifia in Madrid. Mr. Céant is currently the General Counsel of the International Union of Notaries (UINL). For the past 10 years, Mr. Céant has been a law professor at Quisqueya University. He also holds a degree in accounting and statistics and currently also teaches at the National School of Financial Administration of the Republic of Haiti (ENAF). He leads conferences and seminars for financial institutions, youth associations, and various religious, social, and political organizations. Mr. Céant also volunteers his time to several groups and organizations in Haitian communities abroad. He assists both Haitian and international associations with the implementation of Haitian pro bono projects and programs.

Mr. Céant is a founding member of the Cooperative Housing Association (COLOFE), The Lawyers Association, the Port-au-Prince Notaries Union (ASNOP), L’amicale des Juristes, Mouvement d'Actions Démocratiques (MAD), the Professional Association of Law, the AIMER HAITI Collective, the Tabarre Center of Research and Development, and the Haitian Foundation for the Support of University Training (FHASFU).
