I understand that you're trying to help, but some of your new additions make me want to tear my hair out. Pabst never made another piece like this one, that we know of. The Brooklyn Museum exhibition cabinet and one at the Munson-Proctor Institute are related, but nowhere near MMA's in terms of scale or complexity of decoration.
This was not attributed to Furness because he was on the client list. Actually, it was the architect's brother Horace who was on the list. Furness designed and Pabst manufactured a vast suite of Moorish bookcases for Horace's library (documented in Furness family papers). Some of these are at Penn, others are a promised gift to MMA. Furness later designed and Pabst manufactured a desk for Horace that is related to the bookcases (Furness's drawings survive), now at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. [1]
The Modern Gothic style in the U.S., especially the heavily architectonic version interpreted by Pabst and a couple other Philadelphia designers, lasted only about a decade and few major pieces are known. This cabinet was nowhere near to Pabst's "normal pattern of design." At the same time he was experimenting in the new style, my impression is that the bulk of his shop's output remained more traditional Renaissance Revival. == BoringHistoryGuy ( talk) 18:41, 26 June 2017 (UTC)

Doug - I was talking to Andrew Jameson, who monitors the historic site pages, and lets me know when I screw up. I asked him about how to post multiple pictures and he didn't have a clue. He said another admin knew how to do it. Several days that admin sent me the instructions. Here is what that person said, Commonscat in the list template works quite simple. It points to the category on commons that hosts the pictures of one particular object. Just create that category when you upload your bunch of pictures if it does not exist already and move other existing pictures from the parent categories into there. When creating such categories check its sister categories for how it is placed in the category tree. Important also to add the NRHP template on at least the category, better also on the pictures. This is incidentally how I find the pictures and commoncats to add to the lists. Agathoclea (talk) 06:51, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Here is a link that has three of these in your county. /info/en/?search=National_Register_of_Historic_Places_listings_in_Michigan#Mason_County It isn't a big deal, I have pretty much filled in every National and Historic site in West MI with a picture, but I have some pictures of sites with several different perspectives that would be nice to include. -- Wingerham52 ( talk) 15:43, 31 July 2017 (UTC)

In November The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There will be over $4000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. If this would appeal to you and you think you'd be interested in contributing new articles on women during this month for your region or wherever please sign up in the participants section. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate and raise money to buy books about women for others to use, this is also fine. Hello Doug. I've come across some of your articles recently (I'm sure you noticed) and they are very good. I especially appreciate the deep dives you are making into the news articles of the time, and your saving them to the internet. They provide detail that would otherwise not easily be available.
I don't know what should be done about the deficiencies in the yacht infobox, but if it continues to list only displacement as a metric of overall size, perhaps the more general ship infobox should be used.
Best wishes, Kablammo ( talk) 00:14, 23 March 2018 (UTC)

I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take no more than 1-2 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.
I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.
Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs ( talk) 22:20, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

Hello, Doug Coldwell. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

The file File:Sunmobile detail.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-free photo from a magazine being used in adecorative manner in Sunmobile. There's no justification for this type of non-free use per WP:NFCC#8 since the image itself is not the subject of any sourced critical commentary and seeing two people holding the model does not really improve the reader's understanding that models of this type tend to be smaller than a real person and often are small enough to be held by hand.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
files for discussion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion. --

Would it be possible to change the title of this article ? Verginia is a wrong denomination for Virginia, which is the correct form, historically attested and confirmed. See https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1278485 and https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Talk:Q1278485

The French Wikipedia article has now been changed from Verginia to Virginie. You should do the same, from Verginia to Virginia. I understand that pronunciation is the same, but think of some centuries of English literature and culture ! https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginie_(Rome_antique) --Slojkine (talk) 07:34, 20 August 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Slojkine ( talk • contribs)
