Hi, Deiz! Just a question: do you remember the "Epic Metal" article i wrote (and was deleted) quite a while ago? If I post it inside the "Power Metal" entry, as a subchapter, would it be ok or would it be deleted? Waiting your answer, thanks!

I can source my info. on the page, but It all comes from it's Official IMDb page. I would be glad to put the pages link on External links, once I make the page. Do I have permission? I could also apply the article to all the skaters that are in the movie. ClayteX 13:12, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
Why did you take out the part about the Durham Courthouse?
Not even the 'Getz'd' part? I mean, what if someone says the word in a forum, I can't then say something about the word?
Oh, well I made an account. I want to include skate video he has been in in a box like the CKY one in his article, is there a place where I can find out how to do that? Like a tutorial? [ [1]] I want to include those videos. IhateKerryGetz 07:52, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Alright, how do I change my name? I guess I'll go with IhateKG or something? Is that okay? IhateKerryGetz 08:04, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Alright, I made this one. Now, on with the video idea.... Doctor Lyles Carlton III 08:19, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
What is your justification for deleting the two short articles entitled Semiotic Cohesion and Kupugani? Do you not feel that they were historically relevant? Kupugani was quite a large charity organistaion in its time and I see no reason why Semiotic Cohesion is not out of place with the sort of articles that wikipedia promotes.
Here are some links where Shriekfest is covered extensively (or in one case, the founder is part of a round table interview about horror festivals). Moviebytes.com lists its significance among film festivals as 4 out of 5.
There are probably more, but I don't have the time to go through 47 pages of google results. These came from the first ten pages of results. Do what you will.
Sorry for the problems I'm creating, they are obviously created by small experience. I hope I'll get more used to Wikipedia's standards in the future, you are free to edit/delete any of my articles or images if you think they aren't suitable for wikipedia.
Hi Deiz! Just a question: why can't the Epic metal page be modified? It redirects to Power metal while it is, in fact, something completely different from a musical aspect. Did you read the article I've written? Is there any chance for the Epic metal page to get unprotected and modified? Thanks! :-)
You want a source for the fact that while on TV they can be seen scratching themselves and they often hit each other? That's a joke right?«» bd( talk stalk) 02:15, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi Deiz, this is about a case currently unfolding in the biography of Meher Baba. An Australian follower seemingly appaled from the mention of Peter Townsend started by deleting it. It was reverted, and in spite of continious personal attacks, things took the course of a straw poll for some agreement. Then there appeared 3 identities that seem to be the same user. Together with an editor who has contributed long term to the article, we have reported the case in Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Liam7 on the 4th of December. Yet there is a backlist to clear in investigations and things are going slow (no implied blame on busy admins). Personal attacks continue, somewhat milder now, and a whole comedy of a situation is developing on the talk page. In the meanwhile, we (me and user Cott12) are trying to work on the article as per the recent peer review (in my user namespace/sandbox) but we don't dare any edits on the main article until someone does something about the new editor. By the way the editor has removed the tags of sock puppet suspicion from his user page and all the suspected puppets. We removed the Townsend section in the hope this would calm things down, but this user seems to be in for a personal show. The Meher Baba followers are not in any way extreme people and their faith is one of the least biased and most philosophically inspired that I have come across (I could liken them to the Bahai faith people). The article history had no big arguments previously, apart from a mild discussion on the whether Baba's origins were Persian or Irani. This is a unique case. I'm not sure if it can be called "disruptive", but it is certainly draining at least 3 previous editors' energy and any further progress is not possible. Should we also apply for User Check? Is there anything that can be done to restore some peaceful atmosphere so we can start working on the peer review? Hoverfish 14:20, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

The article was written by Jeff Tremaine and Dave Carnie, people who have worked closely with Kosick before. I have heard some of te other stories before (such as Tremaine buying his buddy breakfast every mornin at 7-11) so I am inclined to believe it. The story was also published in Skateboarder. - Ocatecir 02:11, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

As with another user, this article should be deleted, it is just a normal RAW, except it has just been dedicated to someone. I have no bias at all against Owen Hart - infact I think he could of been WWE Champion. Reply please. 86.20.53.195 18:30, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Before we end up arguing, I was trying to find the Eddie Guerrero Tribute Show from last November on Wikipedia. It was on their in September. Now it's deleted. One rule doesn't apply for one tribute show compared to another tribute show. Also Tribute To The Troops has been nominated for deletion. 86.20.53.195 18:51, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Someone's nominated Raw Owen for deletion. Just thought you wanted to know. 86.20.53.195 19:02, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Hey, you vote how you want. I'm not opposed to receiving moral support, though--it's not like I was trying to win when I ran for Arbcom, it was kind of as a protest. (And then, "frustratingly" enough, there were a bunch of great, Arbcom-worthy editors that decided to run and make me look silly. Oh well.
) Thanks anyway!

I would like to make contributions. However I am sure you would be concerned that after your first edit you were falsely being accused of being a sockpuppet and having your talk page defaced with an accusation, and then told that you were not allowed to edit a particular page until you give a suitable explanation.

I do not believe that I have ever visited the Loddon Campaspe site. (In fact they have probably lifted it from somewhere else - any one of a number of community / history sites, I'd suggest.
The pool of accessible information on the Red Ribbon Rebellion is limited, compared with say, the Eureka Stockade. In effect most of it is statement of the known historical facts, rather than commentary.
Interesting that some wiki police would sooner accuse me of copyright abuse and have nothing about this significant historic movement on wikipedia.
Also apologies if my referencing of texts hasn't worked. I have attempted to use the referencing tools as per the bottom of the page.

Per your comment about not deleting votes: I started to "unstrikeout" the stricken out vote of another editor, because I thought that it was inappropriate for someone to strike out someone elses words, but thought that I did not do so, after I saw that the redacted editor had agreed with the strikeout. So which deletion debate do you refer to? There are so many! If you refer to my edits to my own comments, I feel it is appropriate to edit a comment an make a clarification without markup symbols if no one has replied to it, so it remains as my final thoughts on the subject at that time.I would use strikeout to show a change of heart if someone has convinced me my 'Keep' should be changed to a 'Delete or vice versa, or that my comments were ill-founded, since it allows a later reader to follow the time course of the debate. (cross posted from User talk:Yamla where I erroneously first put it, events look to have moved on a bit now, so this is more for information than a request) This block seems like an overly strict interpretation of WP:USERNAME to me. Danny Invincibile is not particularly well known, his unusual name is probably the only reason a lot of people have heard of him. Would a simple note atop the userpage such as the one on User:John Reid not suffice? Oldelpaso 19:27, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Hey D, I think I'm going overboard with references now. Looking at something like Greenpeace's page there seem to be few concrete references... Is that b/c the org is so famous that most of it is common knowledge? They state the group's 'official mission' though...can we post that on our page? I'm trying to learn from the guidelines but am getting confused a little by examples. Am trying to make sure everything kosher asap though. Thanks! Honor The Earth 13:52, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi Pat, how did you come to the conclusion that this editor might be a sockpuppet / impersonator of WoW? He's made some weird edits and can be uncooperative but WoW? I can't quite see it, I doubt he even knows who that is. Deizio talk 22:02, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Why was that IP blocked? I am using my high school computer I have told this to several people, It shares the same IP address. I can assure you that it is not me. I want nothing for the best, for ALL Wikipedia articles. It was most likely someone from my high school. But on the WP:CKY page I noted that a vandal did some stuff to the Gnarkill page, and that it should be formated and watched. Just to let you know I am keeping a very close eye on the Bam Margera Wikipage, and have not seen nothing wrong since the "Ă" problem. As edit summaries go, "Not good enough. Try again." isn't bursting with valid rationale
And removing tags without making the slightest attempt to address them is well argued? That's not how I see it. -- Calton | Talk 14:23, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Was my reason for removing the tag unclear? I've stated it twice now.
Free clue: the "two notable stars" were listed in the article when I added the tag. A washed-up 80's TV star and a skateboarder, the extent of their actual roles or appearences unclear, makes it encyclopedic? Not good enough. Try again. -- Calton | Talk 22:53, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
The user asked in their page if the name is appropriate so I've told them my views and also linked to our policy. Hopefully they'll change it themselves or ask for comments. If not, I'll probably relist it.
I originally listed it since I thought the user was just a troll so asking would probably do no good. I had thought he/she was consistently asking about Muslims or Arabs and terrorists/terrorism in the reference desk but one a closer look a number of his/her questions have been in other areas. I got confused because their latest question which is what made me notice the name delved into terrorism but it wasn't said user who started in this direction. Nil Einne 16:44, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Could you take a look at an AFD for me as an administrator? Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Scott Johnson (artist) The article contains no sources for notability. I suspect the administrator that ruled keep simply looked at the number of keep votes and ruled as such. The problem, however, is that the subject himself pleaded the readers of his blog to argue on his behalf and those who voted for keep were either anonymous IPs or newly created users. The arguments for keep consisted of WP:ILIKEIT arguments and non were framed under wikipedia guidelines. Your help is appreciated. - Ocatecir 04:00, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
