I am a computer techy from Iowa. For those whom it concerns, I manage my own page without the help of others (in other words if I think some thing on any of my pages is vandalism I'LL delete it myself.)
I attend New Hope Assembaly of God, and love it. I am of course a born again
Christian. We have a GREAT pastor. If you are interested there web page is at the external links at the bottom of the page.
Talents and Place's Where There is a Lack There Of Information
Like I said I am a computer techy. I am self employed and fix and build computers (thought I'm primarily a student.) I did enjoy tinkering with
chemistry in my basement lab until my dad woke up to the sound of a the smoke detector above the door going off. Unfortunately for me, it actually had nothing to do with
chemistry experiments, rather, it actually was me trying to solder something and accidentally melting the plastic or something that went up in smoke right below the smoke detector. I like
math too, but I don't sit around and do those all day, even though there are certain types of math problems where its tempting (I love a challenge.) I am presently in Pre-Calculas. I am interested in
Physics too. I am planning on attending
Iowa State University's school of engineering and getting a degree in either electrical or chemical engineering, or maybe both. I also like to participate in Knowledgebowl as well as MathCounts at my school, (
Des Moines Christian.) I currently use a
TI-83 Plus graphing calculator, but as soon as I can replace it, I'm going to get a
TI-89 Titanium.
Lack There Of
Weaknesses
ANAL 1
User here dont worry two much about their's bad grammars.
I absolutely stink at English stuff. Thats not too say I dont like to read. I just dont like spelling or the whole parts of speech crap. Anyways, I also can't stand the way they tell you what to read. And as though that wasn't bad enough, they tell you to read all this liberal la-ti-da crap. I also think that foreign language classes are a waste of my time, and am rather urked that I have to have two years to get into
ISU school of engineering. I do, however, like
Agatha Christie.
With great reluctance, I am
Republican. However, I find most of the 2008 candidates sickening, with the exception of
Huckabee and
Paul.
Mitt Romney is the biggest lier I think I've ever heard, between him and
Hillary Clinton, I think you could have a contest for best anti-christ. I suppose I am ok with Mr.
Bush. But we didn't kick enough butt while we had the congressional backing. Anyway, for the most part, I whish the
Republicans would revert to a more
conservative platform. I am extremely anti-evolutionist. I am also against gay rights or gay marriage. I am also of the opinion that 'hate-speech' is stupid, in other words, you tell me what you think of me, and I'll tell you exactly what I think of you. I am against abortion. 'Planned Paranthood' is a stupid name. It should be 'Planned Genocide.' I am an extreme anti-feminist. I don't think women should be able to run for political offices or vote once they're married
I'll take Microsoft any day. I am hugely anti Mac and pro-
Microsoft. In my opinion Mac's are overpriced PC's with funny cases and a proprietary operating system with AWEFULL memory management. I use
Internet Explorer 7 full time, and am pleased with
Microsoft Office 2007. I also think that product activation is of the devil.
Of course, I prefer the
Zune. However, like they say, beggars cant be choosers. I have 30GB
iPod 5.5 generation. The one thing I like about the
iPod over the
Zune, is its awesome headphones.
I am an
Intel fan. Though my primary machine is an
AMD, beggars cant be choosers, and it was free, so I can't complain (heck anyone with a free dual core laptop with 2gb of RAM is pretty nice!) I think
Intel processor have way more power than there
AMD counterparts.
I live in the good ol' U. S. of A. and most of my TV's are analog and use
NTSC which I support over
PAL because of it's better quality and the fact that smart people use it (actually thats not necessarily true, but, hey, I'm American!)
I am for
HD DVD. This is for several reasons, one being that it is
Microsoft backed. But also because
Blu-ray is backed by
Sony and I neither trust
Sony nor do I car for there stupid proprietary computers.
TV and Movie Stuff Information
I don't watch much television. If I do, its probably to watch the 'Britcom's' and Saturday Night Sci-Fi on
IPTV. I do watch a lot of
Monk,
A-Team,
MacGyver, and
MASH on my
iPod.
British Television
This Wikipedian is a proud lover of British televeision, and whishes the BBC would make some attempt to merge with PBS.
Philip loves
Doctor Who. It is a big interest for him. He also thinks
Doctor Who should be on
IPTV's
high definition channel. You might say I'm a bit of a nerd, but I'd just ask you if you'd like a jelly baby, so don't bother! My favorite Doctor is either
Jon Pertwee or
Tom Baker but, it's up to the flip of a coin.
I'm not much pleased with the way the new series is so different. The new ones are considerably more trashy, though I do like the added special effects. I find the constant swearing and use of the Lord's name in vain appauling.
When my dad was in college he used to tape a lot of the doctor who's, filling a cabinet full of
VHS tapes with them. Consequently I have been exposed since an early age (at least 4.) Anyway, I am now working on dubbing all his tapes to my computer where I am editing them and burning them to
DVD. So far I have about 50 (+/- a few) serials done and on
DVD.
I am a huge
Three Stooges fan as well as a huge
Marx Brother's fan. However, it would take way more time than I care to spend to list them all. I also love
Mystery Science Theatre 3000. My favorites are the little shorts, especially, "What to do on a Date" and "Prince of Space". I also like
Monk.
