• female singers who died in last 50 years (i.e. since 1968): 23 deaths in 1968 + 31 deaths in 1969 289 deaths in 1970s + 336 deaths in 1980s + 480 deaths in 1990s + 1,559 21st-century deaths = 2,718
• 24 possibly living total female singers
• So % of female singers still alive, possibly alive or died in last 5 years = 94.3% of total female singers [ (2718+24+15990)/19864)
