Hi, I'm Brian, but you can call me blu28. I've been blu28 on a lot of different services for longer than Wikipedia has been around. I'm at the younger end of the Baby Boomers, so basically a dinosaur in Internet years. Worse still, I first started monkeying around on the Internet in 1978, although it was called the arpanet in those days. I'm a software engineer, programming professionally first in APL, then assembly language (at JPL), then ADA and then C. Along the way I picked up a smattering of a few others as well. I am also involved with the FIRST Robotics program. I was born in Los Angeles, but for the last 30 years or so I have been living in Nashua, New Hampshire.

I have been a full on science nerd for as long as I can remember. I am particularly interested in evolution and geology and astronomy. Along the way I became involved in the skeptic community, although never very formally, usually along the sidelines. I just don't get out much. But I am passionate about truth. I might have well have been the model for the well-known xkcd cartoon that has the caption "Someone is wrong on the Internet". I am also a movie buff.
