2015, I was employed as

On-line Wikimedia activities
I used to contribute mostly to the
Esperanto Wikipedia, where I am an administrator, but in the recent years I have been extensively contributing to the
Czech version too. I also have edits in several dozens of other Wikimedia projects, often in languages which I barely understand. For a more or less complete list of other Wikipedias where I have substantial contributions, see the interwiki links (the "Languages" box) on this page. If you are interested about my contributions to the
English Wikipedia, see the
respective list.
Uploaded images
In January
2009, I contributed to the article on
Entropa, a controversial promotional work of art of the
Czech presidency of the Council of the European Union, by uploading photographs (
File:Entropa.jpg and
File:Entropa-detail.jpg, later reduced to
File:Entropa-rectangular.jpg) of it I took during my trip to Brussels when no other photographs were yet available while the subject was quickly reaching the news headlines in many countries.
Hoax discovery
On February 16th, 2015, here on English Wikipedia, I discovered
Morgan Dee Voon – the alleged amateur female scientist and a possible mistress of the Czech-born founder of modern genetics
Gregor Mendel – my non-existent
fellow citizen and the subject of a
hoax that had been a Wikipedia article for more 7 years, 10 months and 16 days before it was removed upon my request on February 23rd. At the time of the deletion, it ranked 11th on the
list of discovered hoaxes by length of existence. The discovery was actually a confirmation of my hypothesis that, using an algorithm, I am able to find more hoaxes like Haď Čarém (discovered by my friends some weeks before) in a single evening. Some months afterwards, the hoax discovery got into the headlines of
regional and on-line media.
Wikipediholic
Yes, it seems that I am addicted to Wikipedia.
