I went to
Montreal the first week of October, 2006. These are some of the pictures I took there. (I may or may not upload more.)
Green text, often appearing several times in proximity, means that I haven't yet found/written the article to which I should link. Often this is because I could try several different translations of the same name: Wikipedia's policy is that article titles appear in English.
Notre-Dame de Montréal Basilica, in
Old Montreal. Yes, it's an oblique shot, but there were too many other tourists in the way to get a head-on shot. (Those tourists were all taking pictures of the church.)
A street in
Old Montreal, near the
Old Port. This one looked better in person, but the camera doesn't always see things the way its user does.
The
Marché Bonsecours, and trees along the waterfront. The
Marché Bonsecours, from the Quai Jacques-Cartier (near the Pavillion du Bassin Bonsecours. In the foregorund are the Parc du Bassin Bonsecours and (predictably) some of the Bassin Bonsecours.
Downtown
Montreal seen from the city's
namesake geographical feature.Mont-Royal offers a great view of downtown
Montreal — if you're willing to undertake the hike. (I live in a walk-up and was thouroughly out of breath half way up. But then again, I was carrying my camera: it's of the stick-shift variety, which can get heavy.)
