Ulla-Britt Lilleaas (born 1944) is a Norwegian sociologist. She is Professor of Sociology at the
University of Agder and director of its Centre for Gender and Equality. She formerly worked at the
University of Oslo Department of Sociology and Human Geography. Her research fields are gender and gender equality,
sociology of the body, and
sociology of health and illness.[1] She is also noted for works on the sociology of tiredness. The short film "Tempo" was based on her work. She was elected "sociologist of the year" by the Norwegian Sociological Association in 2004.[2]
