- I agree. Please shorten this template. It goes on already crowded talk pages. There is no reason why it has to explain the whole system for your WikiProject. Template:Chemistry is a good example to follow. — Centrx→ talk • 03:42, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
On Talk:Ohlone we are keeping booknotes, book reviews for future authors, editors and users. This is to inform them of our decisions. However the Template is hiding the TOC. Can it be turned off? I see it can be viewed by viewing comments, but I think it would be best to leave it outside the Template box. -- meatclerk 19:16, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

When this template is used in a banner shell and the article is unassessed, the assessment section breaks. If the article has an assessment rating then only the title line is broken, in that it is missing what class it is. Can someone fix this? You can see an example of it in a banner shell, currently unassessed at Serra Springs (California) Miss Mondegreen | Talk 17:06, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

The link to Métis links to an article about mixed-race persons, which is overly broad. However, the alternatives are Métis people (Canada) and Métis people (USA), which seem overly specific. Any suggestions? ناهد/(Nåhed) speak! 12:54, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

I noticed what I believe to be a bug with this template. When {{NorthAmNative/Anishinaabe}} is used, it suppresses any |importance rating, causing it to appear as ??? importance no matter what |importance is set to. This can be fixed by instead using the format {{NorthAmNative|anishinaabe=yes}}, which would render this template redundant. Has anyone got a way to fix this apparent bug? If not I'll be nominating this template for deletion and replacing all instances of {{NorthAmNative/Anishinaabe}} with {{NorthAmNative|anishinaabe=yes}}. — Preceding unsigned comment added by James Hyett ( talk • contribs) 15:59, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (see
this older revision of the Talk page before I changed it to use |anishinaabe=yes), but for another current example, take a look at
Talk:Zebulon Pike, where in the source it's ranked importance=low, but the importance ranking does not appear on the banner itself.

- I see what's happening. These pages are (or were) using
{{ NorthAmNative/Anishinaabe|class=C|importance=Mid}}and{{ WikiProject Indigenous peoples of North America/Anishinaabe|class=C|importance=low}}- the first is a redirect to{{ WikiProject Indigenous peoples of North America/Anishinaabe}}which itself is a wrapper for{{ NorthAmNative}}(and has been for over eleven years), setting|anishinaabe=yesand passing through only the following parameters:|small=|category=|listas=|class=. It therefore has no code involvingimportance- but even if it did, that would be the importance specific to Anishinaabe and not to Indigenous peoples of North America taken as a whole; and{{ WikiProject Indigenous peoples of North America}}does not have an Anishinaabe-specific importance parameter. - These pages should have been using
