Please change the "main text" where it currently says:
MAIN_TEXT = This template is within the scope of ...
to instead say:
MAIN_TEXT = This {{#ifeq:{{NAMESPACENUMBER}}|1|article|{{#ifeq:{{NAMESPACENUMBER}}|7|file|{{#ifeq:{{NAMESPACENUMBER}}|11|template|{{#ifeq:{{NAMESPACENUMBER}}|15|category|{{#ifeq:{{NAMESPACENUMBER}}|109|book|{{#ifeq:{{NAMESPACENUMBER}}|119|draft|page}}}}}}}}}}}} is within the scope of ...
The current wording reads as if this wikiproject will always and only transclude its banner on talk pages in namespace 11. It is counter intuitive to call all pages a template even while the vast majority will actually be articles in our main space.
The requested modification will cause the template to assess which namespace it is transcluded to, and subsequently render the appropriate corresponding output.
Better to test: This {{#switch:{{NAMESPACENUMBER}}|1=article|7=file|11=template|15=category|109=book|119=draft|#default=page}} ...

Done. Other wikiproject templates use the coding {{pagetype|{{{class|}}}}} to generate this text, so I've used that here. --
