I just added Valdez and Kalamazoo to the unincorporated communities section of this template, after seeing that someone added Benson Junction. Each of these three communities is actually a populated place according to GNIS. Also each is a historic populated place that has been absorbed into other cities (DeBary and Deltona in these cases).

If this is how this template is intended to be used, then I would suggest adding all of the other unincorporated areas listed in the Volusia County article. Does anyone disagree, or this stretching the definition of unincorporated community? MrX 22:09, 26 August 2011 (UTC) reply

It's correct, except for one basic thing — localities within municipal limits aren't unincorporated, so they don't belong on this type of template. Nyttend ( talk) 23:49, 12 September 2011 (UTC) reply
