"this list is incomplete"

I see note "this list is incomplete" but do not understand its purpose. Any list of links to sites in a city is incomplete; we don't have to say that. If the purpose is to highlight something about relevant borders/area being unclear (because I see it mentions that 2 sites are near but not within City boundaries and goes on to provide links to them), I don't think that is necessary. A navigation template should basically just provide links, not include statements, and it probably should not be suggesting/raising issues, IMO. It would be okay by me if there were a benignly labelled section about "nearby sites" technically not within the city's borders. But the way that it is presented now seems to suggest issues/problems. At first I assumed that was a different editor raising problems with this template, as a way of objecting, but I see it has only been created/edited by one editor, User:WhisperToMe. -- Doncram ( talk) 22:14, 14 May 2021 (UTC) reply

@ Doncram: I have no objections if "this list is incomplete" is removed from any templates. Anyway there are some historic sites which do not yet have articles created. WhisperToMe ( talk) 23:47, 14 May 2021 (UTC) reply
Oh, I note now that all links currently are bluelinks while there exist numerous redlink historic site items in Vicksburg included in National Register of Historic Places listings in Warren County, Mississippi. I guess you mean, by "this list is incomplete" you meant that this is a list of historic sites having articles only (perhaps all NRHP-listed?), and there exist other historic sites not having articles. Hmm. Why not include the redlinks for the places that should get articles? That would be okay, is what "normally" is done, in my opinion. But I see there are many redlinks in the NRHP list, and that the existing bluelinks are in fact covering some of the more important historic sites (i.e. NRHP ones that are further listed as U.S. National Historic Landmarks). So, hmm, I wonder if the template could cover the more important ones (mostly bluelinks, perhaps a redlink or two), and link to the NRHP list-article for readers to find out about the less important NRHP-listed ones (which mostly happen to be redlinks now). And of course there exist more historic sites which are not NRHP-listed and which are hard to identify. -- Doncram ( talk) 04:57, 16 May 2021 (UTC) reply
User:WhisperToMe, okay, I hope you may approve of this edit by me simply including the two slightly-outside-Vicksburg-officially schools into the Vicksburg schools section, and adding a link to National Register of Historic Places listings in Warren County, Mississippi which has numerous redlinks for recognized historic sites in Vicksburg. I put in hidden comments defending the mention of the two schools. And this edit dropped the "this list is incomplete" statement. I do think this is better, but also I would welcome an alternative editing which might improve it differently. -- Doncram ( talk) 14:26, 17 May 2021 (UTC) reply
@ Doncram: Thanks for editing! I'll Warren Central HS under the district (you'll see how it's nested). I'll also check if the district posted attendance boundaries which would confirm if parts of Vicksburg are zoned to Warren Central but I do not think Mississippi school districts are great at posting school boundary maps.
