Why is NITV and Ten HD here? Both are FTA channels, and lots of other such exist and aren't in the list. matturn 10:23, 17 October 2007 (UTC) reply

Because in many markets the only practical way for mainstream viewers to receive NITV, Ten etc without incurring major costs or inconvenience is via a subscription TV provider. The FTA channels are therefore not 'free' in those markets. Example: NITV cannot be received in city apartment blocks (where the strata corporation usually bans FTA satellite dishes on the roof) unless the viewer has Foxtel. Turning the argument around, TVSN is FTA but the only practical, minimal marginal cost way to receive it is via a subscription service. Documentary Channels

Why why was Discovery Travel & Living removed? Also there is no "Science Channel" in Australia, it's called "Discovery Science". Reubot ( talk) 12:30, 6 December 2007 (UTC) reply

Oversight the first mistake and the second probably because the Asia Pacific link for Discovery Science goes to 'The Science Channel' which its called in the states. Issues fixed. - Mike Beckham ( talk) 12:35, 6 December 2007 (UTC) reply

NITV is available on Foxtel

NITV is available on Foxtel now, I am unable to edit this template, can someone please add it, thanks! -- Jashley31 ( talk) 09:10, 19 March 2008 (UTC) Fix & Foxi Channel Australia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.199.134.146 ( talk) 07:56, 8 March 2021 (UTC) reply

HD Channels

Is there a reason they are separate? Reubot ( talk) 09:03, 29 December 2008 (UTC) reply

Movie Network and Showtime Network

Why does the template show "Movie One · Movie Two · Movie Extra · Movie Greats · Showcase · Showtime · Showtime 2 · Showtime Greats" when they can be combined to Movie Network and Showtime Network. The links are the same and not all the Fox Sports channels are shown. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dlh1989 ( talkcontribs) 12:31, 13 June 2009 (UTC) reply

MTV

Move to General Entertainment? - The channel has been focusing on entertainment programming for the past 6 months, and the move to channel 124 on Foxtel confirms this. Reubot ( talk) 12:01, 7 November 2009 (UTC) reply

SelecTV English ceases broadcasting

Due to SelecTV's recent cancellation of the English package, Discovery Turbo (Asia) and Weatherzone are no longer broadcast in Australia. -- Smacca | Talk 10:33, 21 December 2010 (UTC) reply

Club Superstation and Sportsplay

I wish to add channels Club Superstation and Sportsplay to the defunct sections of this box. These were legitimate Australian sports channels that emerged during the beginnings of Australian satellite television, later to be bought out by Sky Racing.
