Manic Pixie Dream Girl
I don't see anything wrong with "Manic Pixie Dream Girl" being called simply a "Dream Girl". –

Because that's not the term. Drop the "Manic Pixie" and it loses its meaning. "Dream girl" is a more generic term for an adored woman, as noted by its wider usage at

Ridiculous template
The template as it currently stands is just a random collection of indiscriminate information, which is
WP:NOT what Wikipedia is for. Every thing someone thikgs might be a trope or a meme or something they saw on TV once or something they think they know is all thrown together in one bizarre list of links. It's an embarrassment to every article it appears on.

Expanded template
I've tried posting {{Stock characters |expanded=all}} but it doesn't expand any of the collapsed lists at all and it is supposed to expand them all. Is there a setting that will do this?

I tried all of the {{Stock characters |expanded=Lists}} with all of the separate lists but none of them appear expanded, they are all collapsed.
