It might be prudent to consider redesigning {{
Rivers of New South Wales}}. I created {{
Hunter Region places and items of interest}} some time ago in a format similar to that of {{Rivers of New South Wales}}.
[1] When it had 195 links it was nominated for deletion because it was too bulky.
[2] By comparison, {{Rivers of New South Wales}} has 284 links. The irony is that the post TfD version of {{Hunter Region places and items of interest}} had 211 links and was a lot bigger physically, but that seemed to make everyone happy. --

Thanks. I guess the issue is that New South Wales has lots of rivers. Templates exist for other states in Australia (Victoria, WA, etc.) and I've tried to break it down into sections such as Sydney Basin, Hunter and above, below Illawarra, Snowy River, and Murray–Darling. Do you mind if this discussion is moved to the template page? Thanks

Thanks for that. Now having had a chance to digest, I can see there is some value in redesigning this template along the lines of {{
Hunter Region places and items of interest}}. Let me give it some thought. I've been focused on completing pages for each of the rivers in the
Murray–Darling basin. But it was good to revisit this page and update it a little. Cheers

The real issue is breaking down the river groupings of the Hunter, Clarence, Tweed, etc. Once I complete the MDB, I will move north and work on breaking those groups down into sizeable chucks. In the meantime, I've resigned along the same lines as Hunter.

Are the creeks that important? It is now looking too cluttered and is difficult to read imo. -

I agree; it was getting out of hand. I've broken it down into the four catchments as managed by the NSW Office of Water. Creeks removed. Separate templates have been created for each catchment.
