We should give the AF, FC, PP, and RN their own highlighted colors to distinguish themselves from each other.--

I agree. AF should be orange, and PP is the one featuring yellow most prominently on their logo. FC and RN can get any other colors rather arbitrarily, their colors are largely taken by the others already. --

OK, I came up with a rather arbitrary color scheme, feel free to change the colors or tones.--

Carlos Torres Caro shouldn't be in blue, he is no longer a member of the UPP as he split with them over a conflict involving Humala trying to allign the UPP with Patria Roja and the MNI.--

True, Torres Caro, Rocío González (Arequipa) and Gustavo Espinoza (Lambayeque) left UPP and formed the Peruvian Democratic Party (Partido Demócrata Peruano)
[1]. I included them under UPP because they were elected as UPP members, simply because it would be easier to maintain this template if we label each congress member by their party at the time of election. I expect the breakdown to change a few times during the 5 years, consider for example how many UPP-elected members are actually from the Peruvian Nationalist Party, and the two are apparently not running together later this year in municipal and regional elections, so the alliance is somewhat likely to break down. So, we can choose to label the members by election-time affiliation or current one. I'm actually OK with either, as long as it is clear which it is (a clarifying sentence would be useful, especially if we go for election-time).--

Well, the purpose of the template is to have a real-time count of the members of Congress and their political affiliations i.e., the template isn't just to show their positions as they were elected in 2006.--

We should condense this to three rows to make it fit on articles without streching them out horizontally.--
Jersey Devil 23:05, 31 July 2006 (UTC)reply
Alright, I condensed it. Make any changes you feel necessary Gabbec. It is good to finally have all 120 members down!--
