Navigation box

Could this be changed to a horizontal navigation box? Yuchitown ( talk) 02:19, 5 January 2024 (UTC)Yuchitown reply

Responding to conversation on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Indigenous peoples of North America#Sidebar for Lushootseed-related articles: As it's your template, definitely choose the course you want, but besides the Squamish example you shared, I always see these collections of links at the bottom, not the top. These are all links to draw someone away from the article, so that kind of makes sense. The infobox usually goes in the top right. Perhaps the color could be the same hue but softer? I find the value leaps jarring, but perhaps you don't, and perhaps other editors don't as well. Yuchitown ( talk) 23:28, 5 January 2024 (UTC)Yuchitown reply
I see what you mean, that makes sense to me. I will try to turn it into a navbox when I have the time! In regards to the value leaps, to me it just helped me keep the different sections of text separate from each other. I wish the wikitext editor had a way to indent lines of text that were inside curly brackets like modern text/code editors but alas. PersusjCP ( talk) 20:59, 6 January 2024 (UTC) reply

Spacing?

Is it expected/normal that a newline seems to be inserted when using this template? E.g. the Steilacoom article which now has whitespace at the top due to this template being inserted. GhostOfNoMeme ( talk) 19:18, 5 January 2024 (UTC) reply

I'm not sure but I don't think so. I'm not very well versed on the wikitext editor. PersusjCP ( talk) 23:10, 5 January 2024 (UTC) reply
