Source

From what source does this templates information come? What determines the order of the schools? -- Eustress ( talk) 23:32, 30 December 2008 (UTC) reply

particularly with the private universities Astuishin ( talk) 17:04, 12 February 2009 (UTC) reply
I haven't worked on the private school list, but most universities report their 21st day enrollment to the Common Data Set program sponsored by the US Dept of Ed. Those numbers are usually available on each university's website. The list is ordered by enrollment, but because there is no single source for the data that I know of, there is a chance that a university that should be on the list isn't. Also, I think this template should be renamed. We renamed the article from Largest US Universities to List of largest United States university campuses by enrollment to reflect that we are talking about single campuses, not national or multi-site universities. This template lists campuses, not entire universities and should be renamed. - Nick talk 17:11, 12 February 2009 (UTC) reply

Rename template or adjust content

There is a conflict with this template. This template (according to the title) is a list of largest universities by enrollment, but the content is actually a list of largest university campuses by enrollment (taken from this page. Either the template needs to be renamed to reflect the campus aspect, or the content needs to change to the schools listed in the List of largest United States universities by enrollment. - Nick talk 21:29, 20 February 2009 (UTC) reply
