MPF, CPNT and UMP associates

Some numbuts have been insisting on including the MPF and CPNT as "associate parties" of the UMP, and that simply isn't true under any stretch of imagination. Associate parties vis-a-vis of the UMP means that these parties are almost integrated in the party and that joining one party (aka the PDC) gives you membership in the UMP at the same time - this isn't universally true as IIRC, you can now be a Radical without being a UMPer. Anyways, no such association exists or will exist between the UMP, MPF and CPNT.

The whole thing is that MPF and CPNT are joining a 'coalition' named the Liaison Committee for the Presidential Majority, which will organize co-operation between the UMP and its side-kick parties and be in charge of pleasing smaller allied parties of the UMP with pleasing spots in elections to guarantee regional and local representation for parties like NC, MPF, CPNT and others that would probably fail to gain such representation on its own. This committee is kind of like, I don't know, a kind of infrastructure to a quasi-eternal coalition of parties... I can't think of any international examples off the top of my head, though.

Anyways, if one dolt keeps on including MPF and CPNT as associate parties, I'll be pissed. So, be warned. -- Petrovic-Njegos ( talk) 19:34, 26 August 2009 (UTC) reply

Question about the massive change I'd like to implement

Hello! To me the template seems kind of short and undetailed. At the same time, I ask for feedback and potential changes I could implement.

For context, here is how the change would look like:

It would be helpful to have a clear definition of what constitutes the main political parties in France although personally I think this template should be reorganized into a navbox with collapsible groups which would enable it to include minor parties as well. Yeah, that seems like a good idea.
I think this should be thought out, but not implemented until the consensus isn't achieved.
