Do you think "Taco Chains" should be renamed "Mexican Chains?" Many of them sell much more than just Tacos. I know many burger chains sell much more than just burgers, but some of the chains in this list are much more well-known for their burritos than for their tacos. -- Toadaron ( talk) 21:08, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Mexican-style food is not restricted to just pure Mexican food. I would argue that Tex-Mex (which is of course itself distinct from Mexican food) is a subcategory of Mexican-style food. "Mexican-style" is, basically, defined as " Mexican cuisine outside of Mexico" in Wiki's own article about it, so I think it's more broadly inclusive than just Tex-Mex. Also, if you follow the links to a number of the restaurants listed, they are described as serving Mexican-style food instead of Tex-Mex. I think it would be better to categorize these restaurants as Mexican-Style rather than Tex-Mex. 98.197.249.31 ( talk) 18:13, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
It's a chain, but I don't think it exactly qualifies as fast food, does it? 98.197.249.31 ( talk) 22:44, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

This template should not be named Fast Food Restaraunts, but Fast Food Restaraunts in the United States, because that is what it is. Who agrees that we should move it? Voting ends October 31, 2010, 9 PM UTC. Us441 ( talk) 18:59, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Apparently, a few fast casual restaurants such as Chipotle Mexican Grill, Five Guys, and Quiznos are also included on this navbox. Therefore, I have clarified the title bar to now read "Fast food and fast casual restaurant chains". Zzyzx11 ( talk) 05:50, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
I think Thai Express should be removed, it looks like it's only in Canada. Masterblooregard ( talk) 06:31, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
I think that Smashburger should be included in the template for Fast-food chains of the United States. I've tried to add it to the template, but for some reason, Wikipedia won't let me. Any reason for this? Mr. Brain ( talk) 01:45, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
Don't see any chicken places in this box. Certainly would expect KFC to be here, as well as Church's, Chick-fil-A, Wing Street, and Boston Market. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.28.66.74 ( talk) 23:58, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
Should the template include Johnny Rockets? -- Stephan Schulz ( talk) 13:12, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
Anyone object if I go through and remove chains that don't fit the guidelines in the documentation for number of outlets? Powers T 02:04, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
Culver's should probably be listed like Dairy Queen in both desserts and burgers instead of just desserts. In fact, unlike DQ where some locations only have desserts, all Culver's sell burgers. As such, it would make more sense for Culver's to be listed under burgers (which it isn't) than DQ (which is listed in both categories)-- 2601:1C2:1300:1F33:8C08:982:A142:8620 ( talk) 21:39, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

Can someone add Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers to the template {{ Fast-food chains of the United States}}? This business currently meets the requirements for this template by having over 300 restaurants that are located within at least 30 states since March 2018. Since the company sells both burgers (under group1) and frozen desserts (under group5), it qualifies for inclusion in both subsections. Thanks. -- 147.202.209.1 ( talk) 23:43, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
The rules for this template state that This template should only include chains that are national or are in a sizable region with more than 100 locations. Please do not add regional chains that have only a few locations in a couple of states.
I have noticed that at 01:00, 16 December 2018, User:ADMRN9102 had added recently added Tasty Made and ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen to the section of defunct chains. At its height ShopHouse had a maximum of 15 locations while Tasty Made had only a single location during its entire lifespan. Can a company with a single location be considered a chain? Although ShopHouse with locations on both east and west coast, is 15 locations close enough to the 100 location threshold to warrant inclusion on this template? -- 64.134.164.33 ( talk) 23:52, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

Can someone remove Tasty Made from group11 - Defunct subsection of this template? Tasty Made had a grand total of ONE location throughout its very short existance and should not be on listed on this template. Other candidates that fail the 100 locations minimum requirement and should be removed are ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen, which had a total of 15 locations and Jollibee only has 39 locations in the United States. -- 50.195.200.161 ( talk) 02:20, 19 January 2019 (UTC)
Since L&L Hawaiian Barbecue isn't exactly Asian food, it should go under a new category, Barbecue, along with other BBQ fast food and fast casual places such as Dickey's and Smithfield's. Also, Fazoli's and Sbarro should go under another new category, Italian, along with Little Caesar's, which is definitely fast food (you tell them what pizza you want, they hand it to you right away, you pay, and you leave). Thoughts? Greggens ( talk) 03:17, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
The comment in the template says that Dunkin' Donuts should not be listed with the other donut shops because it is primarily a coffee shop. I'm not sure that's the best placement. It still sells donuts and other pastries in more than 11,000 shops worldwide. (Duck Donuts is listed, but it has under 100 locations.) Dunkin' Donuts also sells sandwiches, tea, iced drinks, bagels, and other pastries. In addition, their donuts are sold in several major grocery chains and other outlets. Krispy Kreme has a similar combination of pastries and drinks, but is still listed under donuts. So, I think it's incorrect to list Dunkin' Donuts under coffee. The corporation wants to rebrand with an emphasis on drinks, but the category on Wikipedia shouldn't change just to match a company's advertising strategy. Perhaps there should be a category for the "pastry & coffee", "light breakfast", or "Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs)"? I still expect to find them under donuts, not coffee, what do you think? (I have no affiliation with DD, but I have eaten their donuts.) - RobinLampert ( talk) 05:09, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

In the defunct category, Zantigo is listed. This is incorrect. More information can be found at /info/en/?search=Zantigo or zantigo.com 2601:446:8200:A9C0:85E2:6F30:4553:9312 ( talk) 21:34, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

Can someone remove Manila Sunset from group1? According to the company's website, the company only have a grand total of seven (7) locations worldwide, a number far below the 100 threshold. 23.25.58.41 ( talk) 23:12, 20 August 2023 (UTC)

Can someone remove 7 Leaves Cafe from group5 (Drink|Beverages)? The company's website only list 43 locations in four states (zoom out on map to view relative locations on map, while list view displays addresses of all locations), thus failing the template's stated Guidelines for inclusion minimum of greater than 100 locatiobs. 50.231.49.42 ( talk) 23:29, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

Can someone remove California Tortilla, Rusty Taco, Taco del Mar, Taco Maker, and Wahoo's Fish Taco from group10 ( Mexican / Tex-Mex)? The company websites for California Tortilla, Rusty Taco, and Taco del Mar, and Taco Maker claim less than 40 locations each, far below the 100 location minimum. Wahoo's Fish Taco] might barely have 50 after adding all 8 regions. 108.71.214.235 ( talk) 11:57, 10 November 2023 (UTC)

Can someone remove Zippy's, and Savannah Bee Company from group15 (Other)? The company websites for Zippy's, and Savannah Bee Company claim less than 30 locations each, far below the 100 location minimum. Although Europe-based German Doner Kebab claimed more than 100 locations worldwide, the company's website only shows 9 locations in the U.S. Should this company remain on the template since the majority of the company's locations are in Europe and not in the U.S.? It would be different if most of the locations were in the U.S. 108.71.214.235 ( talk) 05:24, 12 November 2023 (UTC)

Nestle Toll House is no longer in business. Requesting that it is placed in the Defunct Section of the Template. Change "Nestle Toll House" in Baked Goods to "Defunct" or move to the Defunct Section of the Template. (The Actual Nestle Toll House Wikipedia page refers to the business as a Was, which leads me to believe it is defunct.) 73.201.96.197 ( talk) 00:57, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
