It seems like a redirect from the one-g to the two-gg page would suffice. Neither abbreviation appears on the template.

I removed a stray space in the proposed title. I'm not sure it was intentional, but it's not necessary. --

Also, I capitalized "Chem" - normally all titles start with a capital letter.

It doesn't really matter, Wikipedia doesn't support lowercase first letters. "Template:chem eng" and "Template:Chem eng" is the same page according to Wikipedia's MediaWiki implementation (any page you see starting with a lowercase letter is using an override trick to change the display, but the actual pagename is still capitalized). --
