Please list newly created articles on battles of the Mughal–Sikh Wars and Afghan–Sikh Wars in their respective template and main article

@ Twarikh e Khalsa , @ CanadianSingh1469 , @ Javerine , @ Usingh0663 , @ Noorullah21 , @ Ronnie Macroni – Hey guys, I just wanted to remind you all that it would be great if you can include any newly created articles on battles of the Mughal-Sikh Wars or Afghan-Sikh Wars to their respective infobox so that way they get more audience and we can keep track of all the new pages that have been created recently (I'm finding it hard to keep track of them all at the moment). Here are links to some of the existing templates:

1) Early Mughal-Sikh Wars (pre-guruship of Guru Gobind Singh, i.e. pre-1675): Template:Campaignbox Early Mughal-Sikh Wars

2) Later Mughal-Sikh Wars (post-guruship of Guru Gobind Singh, i.e. post-1675): Template:Campaignbox Mughal-Sikh Wars

3) Afghan-Sikh Wars: Template:Campaignbox Afghan-Sikh Wars

Also consider adding them to the lists presented on the main articles Mughal-Sikh Wars and Afghan-Sikh Wars.

This way, we can see what others have been working on more easily and assist with improving articles more readily. The basic format for adding a new battle to a template is to include the name but only include the year if there is more than one battle that shares the same location.

Also, add them to their applicable category if you know how to do so.

I humbly request you to use Akal Sena in the belligerents section of the infoboxes for the Sikh side for battles before 1699, Khalsa Fauj for battles between 1699 and 1735, Dal Khalsa (Sikh army) for battles between 1735 and 1799, and Sikh Khalsa Army for battles between 1799 and 1849. I am unsure of what the correct army pages for the Afghan side would be (Durrani vs. Hotak vs. Emirate), someone please chime in if you know.

If you have already been doing this, then I am sorry to disturb you. I pinged all the editors I know who regularly work on articles in these fields of interest.

Thank you and I appreciate all of your hardwork, ThethPunjabi ( talk) 20:24, 10 March 2023 (UTC) reply

The Hotaks never fought with the Sikhs, in this case, it would be appropriate to usually use the Durranis from 1747-1823. After this, the Durrani Empire collapsed into numerous states, and the "Emirate" only ruled in and around Kabul before it united the rest of Afghanistan under Dost Mohammad Khan. @ Noorullah21 Hey! Gotcha, thanks for your comment. By the way, is that green flag on the Durrani empire page historical or is this "Abdali" flag the correct flag of the Durrani empire? Which one was the actual national flag? ThethPunjabi ( talk) 20:44, 10 March 2023 (UTC) reply
None of those flags were actually the official flag of the Durrani Empire. The Green flag was the flag of the Sadozai (Durrani dynasty) ruling in Herat (1793–1863) and not the Durrani empire itself.
The "Abdali" flag is also not a flag of the Durrani Empire either, so it should not be used. @ ThethPunjabi Noorullah ( talk) 20:46, 10 March 2023 (UTC) reply
@ Noorullah21 I see. Do you know if the Durranis had a standardized flag of some sorts? ThethPunjabi ( talk) 20:46, 10 March 2023 (UTC) reply
@ ThethPunjabi Not really, as far as I know flag designs were pretty sporadic, some sporting pure black flags, some with "Wheat" designs on tem. ETC. There wasn't really anything streamlined. Noorullah ( talk) 20:47, 10 March 2023 (UTC) reply
@ Noorullah21 @ ThethPunjabi I just created a template showing the various battles in the Indian Campaign of Ahmad Shah Durrani,If you have created a new article involving the Indian campaign of Ahmad Shah, then please include it in the new template aswell.
