The extreme colors are a distraction and are very different from any other article navigation template I have used before. Arguing over template colors probably isn't that productive, however I think the old color scheme was better; actually I think any colors that look anywhere close to what an average navigation template looks like would be incrementally better, as the current design is very distracting. --

I would also support removing this color scheme. It makes it seem like a Geocities page is breaking through Wikipedia.
