Substituted. By putting subst in a template title, for example {{subst:sometemplate}} the contents of {{sometemplate}} would be placed into the page when you hit save. Many infoboxes have been saved this way, necessitating their replacement.

I'd like to add that it would be extremely useful to be able to have a parameter with which any infobox could be specified; perhaps such less frequent cases could be filtered into a category for all miscellaneous infobox conversions. –

I'm going to see what I can do to make this template more useful to the community at large (inclkuding expanded documentation). I'd be happy to make any changes anyone would like but I'll need more specific requirements for what needs to be added.

Might the wording This page has a deprecated be changed to: This article has a deprecated ? Apparently there are some who think the template claims the talk page needs a new infobox. --
