Shang Jiang?!!!
Shouldn't we try to find an English translation of Shang Jiang before we create a template for it? I suggest that Shang Jiang be renamed General of Marshall.--

Hi, thank you for your concern. The thing is, there are actually pages dealing specifically with
Chinese military ranks. I suggest telling the reader that 'Shang Jiang' is the highest rank attainable in the first paragraph of every Shang Jiang article. Plus, if the reader is interested in what Shang Jiang is equivalent to in English, they may always check out
Shang Jiang as linked in the template.

Hi again. I have already posted a suggestion to
Chinese military ranks that all ranks be given English name.--

I've read your suggestion and understand where you're coming from. I suppose it makes sense and if the consenses is to change it, than I will update the template as well.

Great! I will give people some time to respond and I'll keep you informed.--

I changed this internal link in the template into
Li Da (general), as the original link refers to a PRC Marxist philosopher, not a brilliant general.--
